EarthWise Expands Access to Sustainable and Accessible Home Improvements

As housing costs continue to rise, many homeowners face difficult decisions about critical home repairs, energy upgrades, and accessibility improvements. Through the EarthWise program, Groundswell Capital is helping homeowners access affordable financing for projects that improve safety, sustainability, and long-term housing stability.
In recent months, the program has continued to build momentum across Southern Arizona through expanded contractor partnerships, increased homeowner engagement, and growing national recognition.
Since April, EarthWise has expanded its contractor network to 30 participating contractors, including 6 new contractors added in recent weeks. These partnerships are helping increase homeowner access to trusted professionals for projects ranging from roof replacements and water heater upgrades to solar installations and accessibility modifications.
To date, EarthWise has served 7 homeowners, including 2 disabled veterans. Several funded projects have focused on improving accessibility and quality of life, including wheelchair-accessible shower modifications and floor leveling to improve mobility within the home.
The demand for these services continues to grow. In 2026 alone, the program has received 15 homeowner applications, reflecting increased community interest in affordable home improvement financing options that support both housing resilience and energy efficiency.
EarthWise has approved more than $112,000 in home improvement loans to support projects including:
Solar panel installations
Roof replacements
Water heater upgrades
Accessibility adaptations
Energy efficiency improvements
The program’s progress is also being recognized nationally. Groundswell Capital is currently tied for 4th in the nation for loans funded through the EarthWise network, rising from 8th place earlier this year.
As EarthWise continues to grow, the program remains focused on expanding equitable access to sustainable home improvements while helping homeowners remain safely and comfortably in their homes for the long term.
