About Juntos

The Juntos Program is an exciting new initiative aimed at empowering individuals to formalize their side hustles or launch and expand their small business. 

 

We reduce obstacles for individuals by assisting with expenses related to obtaining licenses through a 0% interest loan. By supporting entrepreneurs in the trades with their licensing and professional certifications, we are supporting economic development in Tucson, enhancing our workforce, and creating opportunities for diverse small businesses.

How it Works:

To be eligible for the Juntos Fund, you must be enrolled in a partner-approved program, course, or certification. During this program you will learn all the critical components to building a thriving business in Tucson. Depending on your program, at enrollment or at graduation - you are eligible to receive a 0% interest loan from Groundswell Capital to help jump-start the next part of your journey! 

The Basics

  • Up to $2,000 loan

  • 0% Interest

  • No pre-payment penalty 

  • 12 month term

  • No collateral required 

  • Credit score is not a factor for approval

  • Loan includes a one-time origination fee of $150.00

Participant must attend 80% of the classes, be an active participant, and be approved by Lash Factor Studio or Praxis Portal Institute.  â€‹

The City of Tucson invests in growing a strong and resilient small business community in our city.

As part of their mission, they provide in-depth educational series for entrepreneurs seeking to turn their side-job into their full-time work.

Through these courses you will learn from industry experts about topics such as licensing, bonding, insurance, HR, technology, financing, marketing, safety and more.

Courses take place year round at the Tucson Small Business Center and are tailored for a variety of industries, including Contracting, Food Businesses, Beauty/Barber Shops and more.
